So Much to Be Thankful For
November 13, 2009
As parents of preschoolers, we have so much to be thankful for. We may not feel thankful every single second, especially during the tired and cranky seconds, but every day with small children offers countless small moments of grace.
So, this Thanksgiving, let's count at least a few of our many blessings:
First, the blessing of waking to hugs and kisses from a small child we adore.
Second, the blessing of witnessing tantrums that we know will pass. How passionate the little ones are about life!
Third, the blessing of watching them skip off to preschool or to join friends at the playground, and begin forming their very own relationship to the wide world.
Fourth, the blessing of reading together.
Fifth, the blessing of watching our children sleep.
Sixth, the blessing of seeing them sniff at or taste or tear into a magnificent Thanksgiving feast!
Enjoy the day, Savvy moms and dads. We're thankful to be sharing these blessings of parenthood and more with you.
