School Philosophy & Day in the Life

School Philosophy and Mission

CEID is a model early intervention program for babies who have hearing impairment or severe speech and language delays. At CEID, we use a 'Total Communication' approach, which includes the simultaneous and consistent use of spoken English, hearing aids and Signing Exact English.

This 'total' approach is our insurance policy for teaching to the child's strengths and making learning meaningful. Our primary goals are to help families understand the many issues of deafness, learn essential skills to enjoy early communication with their children and help children develop skills to achieve their fullest potentials.
