Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
The teachers at CDC are very loving to all the kids and all the kids feel safe and very happy to be there. They offer "play days" after school for $5 an hour. The kids love to stay for this, and it gives parents an additional as- needed child care option. The school is middle-of-the-road in terms of academic vs. developmental. In my opinion it is a good balance. I guess the only thing I wish they had was a computer lab.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
I'm not sure on the drop-in policy, but have always felt welcome, and don't think there would be a problem. They do focus on learning through play, but I also received some info about specific developmental milestones my child had reached when I had the year-end parent-teacher conference.

Parent #2
There is no formal parent connection, however, I think the general feel at the school is that all the parents are interested in building relationships with each other. As for separation, the teachers do a good job with students that have a hard time, however, there are no extra staff just for that purpose.
