School Philosophy and Mission

"The philosophy of Jordan Glen is based on the observation that even though there are universal and predictable sequences of change in children, each child is unique with an individual pattern of timing and growth. Our commitment is to an educational program that values individual differences, to a process of exploration and discovery, and to meaningful academic study. We would like our children to enjoy their time spent away from home and feel that we exemplify our belief that the joy of living and love of learning need never be separated

For your children to get the maximum benefit from kindergarten, grade school, and higher education, the goal of pre-K must be to promote the love of school and learning. Although your children will be learning how to write their names, match numbers to objects, and increase their vocabulary, they will also be learning how to get along with other children, follow simple classroom directions, and explore all types of learning environments. Our goal is to help your children begin to love learning and to assist you in providing the love and nurturing that our little ones need as they start their school experience.

8:30 - 9 Supervised free play outside and at stations inside

Daily Schedule

9 - 9:10 Greetings and Fun

9:10 - 9:30 Morning Meeting

9:30 - 10:45 Star Station Activities, Snack and Outside Play

10:45 - 10:50 Cleanup and Washup

10:50 - 11:10 Alphabet Time

11:10 - 11:35 Class (i.e. Music, Crafts, Drama, Tennis, Unit Project, Sports)

11:35 - 11:45 Cleanup for Lunch

11:45 - 12:30 Lunch and Free Play

12:30 - 1:30 Storytime/Rest Time/Quiet Play Time

1:30 - 2:00 Class (i.e. Messy Art, World Studies, Science, Math, Spanish, Sign Language) or Special Events on Friday

2:00 - 2:30 Supervised Free Play outside or at stations

2:30 - 3:00 Snack, Calendar and Cleanup "
