Typical Day-In-The-Life At This School

"Baby Ducks" - Infant Schedule
6:45 - 8:30 Typical arrival time for our babies.
Little ones are warmly welcomed to the day at EduKids through conversation with family, sharing infomation about the infant's home to school transition and beginning sleep or play for the day.

8:30 - Midday Individual attention to each "Baby Duck" through play with a variety of carefully selected toys, sensory activities to stimulate their developing body awareness, song and music to sooth and stimulate language and natural rhythms, relaxing exercise and friendship building through continual attention to names, touch, talk and smiles.

Midday - 4:30 Continued attention to each baby with afternoon strolls and play outdoors if weather permits. As infants enjoy floor mat time to stretch, roll, grasp and toddle, they also enjoy rides outside in their "bye-bye buggy" to see nature and other children at play. The warmth of the afternoon sees our little ones enjoying the sun and each other!

4:30 - 6:00 Typically the time we say "Good Bye"
As each "Baby Duck's" family comes to the Center to get their child, we review the day and plan for the next. Children are ready to leave after quiet, calm activities at the day's end

Our daily routine is flexible, fun and exciting!
6:45 Early morning - Children and parents are greeted followed by free play, play dough, coloring, painting, blocks, puzzles, dress-up, etc.

9:30 Hand washing and morning snack

10:00 Outdoor walks, play yard, children's choices including, circle time songs, finger plays, stories, art activities, free play, large motor activities.

11:00 Diaper changes and bathroom time

11:30 Hand washing and YUMMY lunches

1:00 Nap time, stories and quiet time

3:00 Hand washing and afternoon snack

3:30 Diaper changes and bathroom time

4:00 - 5:00 Outdoor walks, play yard, children's choices including free play, songs, stories, painting, puzzels, blocks, art, large motor activities, etc.

Late Afternoon - arrival of parents We close at 6pm.

10:45 - 11:45 Small Group Activities kindergarten readiness work with cognitive, fine motor and language activities. Computer, art and spanish enrichment.

11:45 - 12:15 Family style lunch

12:15 - 1:00 Transition into the afternoon; lunch and classroom clean up, quiet stories and music, journal writing and puzzles.

1:00 - 3:00 Rest

3:00 - 3:15 Afternoon snack

3:15 - 3:45 Outside activities, group games and play

3:45 - 4:15 Classroom Centers, computer center, language charts and theme interest extension.

4:15 - 4:45 Afternoon circle to review the day, read aloud stories & plan for next day.

4:45 - 6:00 Teacher led quiet activities at departure time.
