Our son has thrived during his three years at Bright Days Preschool. The entire school community has been supportive, friendly and encouraging. Each teacher has been willing to do whatever has been necessary to make our son's experience the best possible. I have witnessed this with other children as well. As a parent and educator I highly recommend Bright Days.

At the beginning of each day the children are encouraged to take part in free play at a variety of stations throughout the classroom. The teachers have small groups of children work on the lesson for that day. Although a music teacher is not a part of the school, children sing and listen to music daily. In addition, children have the opprtunity to enroll in Kinderdance, which is held on Friday after the regular preschool program.

Bright Days Preschool is a hidden gem! It is located at the corner of Maple and Hopkins in Faith United Church of Christ. The preschool is owned and operated by Ms. Sherri Lunney. Our child has attended Bright Days in the 2 year old, 3 year old and Pre-Kindergarten program. Registering him for the 2 year old class was the best thing we did for him. He learned early on how to listen to other adults and to play well with other children. We have been totally thrilled with the teachers and the curriculum at Bright Days. The children have been well-prepared for Kindergarten, while still having fun and making friends! Bright Days is a fantastic preschool for children ages 2 through Pre-K. In addition to their 3 morning Pre-K they also have a 5 day Pre-K program. The teachers at our Kindergartern registration were so impressed with how well-prepared our son was. Bright Days prepares a complete assessment for each child that we were able to bring to our Kindergarten registration. It gave our son's future teachers important information about what he has learned and how he learns.

Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children: are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Parents' Comments

Bright Days Preshool is located on the main floor of the building. Other schools I have visited are often times situated in the basement. Personally I would not want my child in a basement all day! Bright Days has many windows, is well- ventilated and allows fresh air to come into the classrooms! It is also wheel-chair accessible. The playground is beautiful and well-maintained. Parents sign-up to bring in snack once a month. A list of healthy snacks is provided in the Parent Handbook.

Advice from Parents to Prospective Parents on Admissions

Parent #1
This preschool is just that, a preschool. It is an excellent school that accepts children of all walks of life and abilities. We chose this school for our child because of the fact that it is not trendy, or a chain/franchise. If you can fill out an application and there is a spot available for your child, I am sure you will be admitted.
