Children must have their birthdays prior to december 1st to be eligible for the corresponding class (i.e. a child must be 3 before december 1st to enroll in a class for three year olds). two year old children attend class accompanied by parent or other caregiver. three and four year old children attend class on their own. three and four year old children must be independent in toileting skills prior to the start of the school year! parents are encouraged to call the program director (go to contacting cns) for an appointment to visit the program. a variety of forms will be sent for parents to fill out and return prior to the start of the school year. a recent medical examination is required.

School Philosophy and Mission

"The classroom layouts, the material and the curriculum are all carefully considered by the teachers in order to provide the best possible environment for young children. A thoughtful balance between learning objectives, social and emotional needs and quality playtime is evident throughout. “Structured flexibility” best describes the children's time spent at CNS. Order in the day's scheduling and planned environment increases a child's security in him or herself and in the school. Yet great flexibility is allowed to recognize the need for each child's individual pace, interests, and maturity level. Independence, through supportive guidance, is a continual goal.

Acceptance criteria: If a desired class is already full, the programs' director will maintain a Wait List. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis
