School Philosophy & Day in the Life
School Philosophy and Mission
"The mission at Woodland Montessori is that, "We are a joyful community of life-long learners, whose roots are founded in deep respect for all humanity. We are committed to academic excellence, universal values, and creative self-expression through an environment that nurtures the spirit of each individual."
"As a former teacher, I knew that in choosing my children's school I was creating a foundation upon which all future learning would be built. I chose Woodland Montessori School. My children love this school, and I love seeing them thrive academically and socially. When I send my children to school each morning, I feel they are walking into the arms of a welcoming, enlightening community of teachers and students. Academics, creativity, multiculturalism, and social awareness combine to create a well-rounded, well-adjusted child. All children love to learn. Woodland Montessori accommodates them by opening the world like a big treasure box filled with wondrous knowledge and opportunities. Saving money for college is important, but if that foundation for learning hasn't been laid, the allure of high education may be lost" Devon Alwang with her two children."
