Parents' Comments
Parent #1

CEC has been around for many years(27) I had my two children in ther during the earlier days and whe I had another baby just recently the first place I looked was CEC. There are a number of reasons that I Love CEC. They are the family away from family, They have a real community, It is clear that the teachers really love the children. Hours are great, cost is realisitc, Director is supper. She's not just the DIrector but a teacher,helper,cook,etc...., You see her very often interacting with the children. It shows that she love the children and they are first.

Parent #2
My daughter attended CEC for 2 years, and I couldn't have been happier. Her teachers were very caring, with lots of activities, and build great friendships. Highly recommend.

Parent #3
The teachers are incredibly loving and very stable - I have witnessed zero teacher turnover in the 1 1/2 years my son has been at CEC. CEC promotes a great community for the parents with regular school events. My child looks forward to going to school everyday and I have no anxiety about his experience.

Parent #4
This is not a preschool. It is a daycare. Your child will learn to survive here, nothing more.

Parent #5
Teachers disappear and no explanation is given, or comes weeks later; children are left to wonder who will be their teacher tomorrow. New teachers appear and are not introduced to parents.

Discipline, Health and Safety

Discipline

OVERALL RATING (3.5) Three and Half Stars
Parents' Opinions
Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children: are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
Safety screening may be higher than I marked, but, because all the teachers know me I don't see the results. I'm sure an unknown person is screened more carefully. The school is in the process of upgrading the outside play area which will improve screening.

Parent #2
Not an acceptable place to leave any child. Infants are parked in high chairs all day. Toddlers are knocked over by preschoolers in the yard every day. Children go without jackets in the cold and wander around with drippy noses. The quality of care is absolutely appalling.
