School Philosophy and Mission

"M.A.W. Children's Center believes that young children are very special. Their natural curiosity creates a wonderful opportunity for learning. We recognize each child as an individual with unique needs, thoughts, interests, and timetables. At M.A.W. Children's Center, we have created an environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and fun. Our classrooms incorporate interaction in concrete meaningful activities that parallel our developmentally appropriate curriculum. M.A.W. Children's Center believes that next to the home, school is the most important environment for shaping attitudes, molding good habits, and building character."

"6:00 - 7:00 Quiet Time, stories and table toys
7:00 - 8:00 Table toys and quiet activities
7:25 - 7:45 Breakfast
7:45 - 8:00 Clean up and get ready to go outside
8:00 - 8:45 Outside play (weather permitting)
8:45 - 9:00 Wash up for snack (toileting)
9:00 - 9:15 Snack time
9:15 - 10:30 Curriculum time
11:00 - 11:30 Outside activities
11:30 - 12:00 Wash up for lunch (toileting), music
12:00 - 2:30 Nap time
2:30 -3:00 Children up from nap, (toileting) snack time
3:00 -4:45 Outside activities, paint, playdough, music, stories, dance
