Parents' Comments
Parent #1
was once a great program.
at this time it has poor leadership and no direction
parents pay top dollar while teachers need to buy their own supplies
They advertise programs then don't deliver
Parent #2
Strengths--Small student to teacher ratio; small class sizes; don't force my child into activities, but encourages him to stretch outside his comfort zone; teachers care deeply and really know my child
Weaknes: Cost
Parent #3
Los Altos Christian Preschool is hands-down the BEST preschool in the area. The director and staff are committed, warm, caring, and educated. My daughters LOVES to go to preschool, often wishes away her weekends, just so she can go back to school! They offer gymnastics, music, chapel, and crafts galore --while teaching the children all they need to know for kindergarten. They also have a lunch program and extended day for parents who need this. This is a school that is sensitive to children with food allergies as well. In July they will have 4 weeks of summer camp for ages 2 yrs to 5 yrs old. Any concerns I have had I talk directly with the teacher or director about, and they WANT feedback from parents. Being new to the bay area, I found several good friends among the parents of this preschool, which lead to playdates and carpooling. I completely trust LACP and their staff with my 4.5 yr old darling daughter, and we will be sending our younger daughter there next year as well. Go for a tour, you will NOT be disappointed!
School Philosophy & Day in the Life
School Philosophy and Mission
"We believe that each child was created by God, is unique and has purpose.
We further believe that each child should be provided with an environment of exploration and instruction that encourages individual emotional intellectual and spiritual growth.
The educational motivation of a child is a sacred trust and responsibility given by God to the parent and shared in part with the educator.
Our purpose is to provide a quality preschool program to our children, regardless of race, color, creed or religion, in a warm, loving, spiritual, Christian environment

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
The teachers are loving and affectionate which is what my daughter thrives under.
Parent #2
I am only rating the teacher my child has had this year. Until recently, she was not qualified, and even though she has since recieved the minimal units required, does not posess the skills needed to teach preschool.
She replaced one of the most skilled teahcers I have ever known, who resigned when the former director ( who was amazing) was fired and replaced by the current inexperienced person. It's as if the principal doesn't believe preschool is important at all

the former director ws in the classrooms at the beginning of the year, helping to reassure children with seperation issues, and had a plan in place for those with difficulty. The current director wan no where to be found and didn't have a clue what to do.

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
The teachers are always calm and caring while disciplining --they are great examples of what I strive to be like with my children.
Parent #2
I know they are currently fundraising for new outside play equipment, so that should be upgraded soon. I also know it can be difficult to enforce the well-child policy.
Parent #3
The grounds, which were always in good order when my first child attended, have been a mess during the months my second child has attended
