School Philosophy & Day in the Life

School Philosophy and Mission

"The staff and faculty at Heart of the Valley Christian School, fully trusting the power of God, have set ourselves to the task of teaching children that in life we must seek a proper relationship with God. This teaching is concerned not only with the God revealed in His Word, but also in the counsels revealed in His world. We desire to teach that ALL truth is God's truth, and Jesus Christ is central in all truth-again, not simply in the Word, but in history, in language, in music, in reading, in mathematics, in the arts, in everything we learn and teach at Heart of the Valley Christian School. With this in mind some of our goals are:
To teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth to die in order to redeem us from sin and that it is necessary to be born again through faith in Him.
To teach each student to apply themselves to their full potential in each area or activity undertaken.
To teach students to accept responsibility for their own actions, attitudes, and words.
To teach the fundamentals of reading, language arts, mathematics, the sciences, and social studies from a Christ-centered perspective.
To stimulate the child to become a life-long learner, able to work independently and cooperatively."
