Applications accepted Prospective parents/guardians are encouraged to visit our school to see our exciting and enriching program for the toddler program children must be 18 months old. for the 2 year-old program, all children must be two years old by december 1, 2007 for the 3-year-old program, all children must be three years old by december 1, 2007. all children must be fully potty trained. for the pre-k program, all children must be four years old by december 1, 2007. all children must be fully potty trained. an appointment will be made to interview and assess children entering the 3-year-old program and the pre-kindergarten program. carden west school internal forms • state licensing forms: o identification and emergency information o child's preadmission health history o consent for emergency treatment form o personal rights form o physician's report o parent's rights • birth certificate • immunization record

The curriculum is based on the California Standards and is customized to individual strengths and learning styles. At Carden West, every student experiences success every day in a nurturing, family-like environment.
Carden West School was originally founded by Annamarie and Norman Zimmerman in 1963 in Southern California. Carden West is based on the teachings of Mae Carden, who believed in the concept of the "whole child". This philosophy emphasizes high academic standards along with high standards for pro-social behavior, thereby nurturing creativity, personal responsibility, and emotional well-being

"Extended care operates from 7:00 am to 8:10 am and from school dismissal until 6 pm. A "drop-in" service is also available if space permits
Before (AM) and After (PM) School Care on a Daily Basis is available at an additional cost to be
billed as nine installments beginning September 1, 2007 and ending May 1, 2008. These plans do
not include care on holidays and school breaks.
AM EXTENDED CARE - $25 Per morning by reservation only. 24 hour advance notice required.
PM EXTENDED CARE - (End of class to 6 pm) $3,500.00/year
PM EXTENDED CARE DROP-IN (with prior authorization and when space permits) is available as
follows:
Hourly PM rate $10.00 per hour billed to the half hour
Flat PM rate (End of class any time up to 6 pm) $25.00 PER DAY"

Admissions Process

Acceptance criteria: Classroom space is limited and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children may enroll during the school year, permitting available space. Each potential student will be assessed to ensure that the student meets the school's academic and social standards.
