Parents' Comments
Parent #1
There is no parent organization and communication between parents and teachers must be passed through the administration. Any questioning of the methods is met with a "dis-enrollment" of the child for behavior issues.
Parent #2
the school premises are a bit rundown and the playground is awfully small. No parent communication between teachers. Unprofessional front office administrative staff.

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
teacher 1 who is also the director had no affection for the children and always had negative comments for many of the mothers who were waiting anxiously for the children during the first 2 weeks which were the hardest for the kids and paretns. She makes no effort to help children that may need help and the class is mostly work oriented with very little free time and very little outdoor time. So if you have a low energy child you might be ok.
Parent #2
The level of teaching ability and certification varies greatly between teachers. Not all of the "teachers" are credentialed.

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
no consistency on how children are disciplined and for what reason. A child that bites is allowed to stay in preschool class but a child that does not sit in circle time is asked to leave the class room for 2 days! Up to the whim of director. She is the only board
member, no one else to talk to. Not allowed to contact any teacher directly. And have to set up a specific time and day to observe your child in the class.
Parent #2
There is some sort of rubber dust under the bark chips on the playground. My child comes home filthy and with black soot in her nose.

Extended Care
Notes on Schedule and Extended Care
Notes
"CHMS staff may occasionally provide extra care for your child beyond your child's schedule option. CHMS will only provide this care if there is sufficient staff coverage. You must arrange for extra care with the Director no later than 10:00 am on the day that extra care is needed. This care is available for $15 per hour if arranged in advance. If unscheduled care is required, the rate is $1 per minute. In either case, payment in full is due at the time of pick-up. The clock of the school determines the period of care.
