Both of our children, 3 years & 5 years, have been attending All Saints for the past school year. We are extremely happy with the administration and most of the teachers. The administration is very responsive to any questions or comments we have.

School Philosophy & Day in the Life

School Philosophy and Mission

(excerpted from brochure)

All Saints' Preschool is dedicated to providing a safe and loving Christian environment "where learning is fun". We take a developmental approach to instruction, viewing the "process" as important as the "product". Children are given the opportunity to learn trough discovery, exploration, and interaction with classmates and teachers, making a positive preparation for formal learning.

Typical Day-In-The-Life At This School

A typical fun filled day here at school begins with a welcoming circle time. This is the time of day when the children learn about the focus area and skills they will be fine tuning for the day. The children participate in calendar activities, music and movement, begining math and language development activities and socailization. Children then split into smaller groups to "do their work". The children will take turns enjoying the lessons planned while learning and having fun. When all the classroom has successfully had a turn creating beautiful art and practicing developmentally appropraite skills, they enjoy a healthy snack before heading outside to play. Outside time is a well loved part of our day, with bike riding, climbing, bubble blowing and a loud game of duck duck goose. The children have an opportunity to get those wiggles out. Back inside, the children enjoy social play and learning centers of their choice, while teachers get to play too and guide the children. Lunch time always comes so fast, so after a quick game of Clean Up, the kiddos all sit down together for lunch. Ready for their nap, they potty and lie down to dream about what suprises will be in store later!

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
I am very pleased with the curriculam provided. At 2 years old, my child needs structure, but also is given a lot of opportunity to have free play and to explore his abilities.

Parent #2
While most of these skills are predominantly teacher-led, there is also plenty of opportunity for the children to develop these skills during free-play and station-play.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
My son started going to All Saints' Preschool in January and we have had such a wonderful experience! We just love all of his teachers and they are all so nurturing. I always feel completely confident when I leave my child. He has learned so much and has gained so much maturity and knowledge since his attendance began. Thank you to all of the patient and kind teachers.

Parent #2
This is the one area that All Saints needs to improve. This is only in respect to the communication between the teachers and the parents. The teachers do add a paragraph to the monthly newsletter, but there is very little discussion of the children's progress or challenges. Other than the newsletter parents must seek-out any communication. The administration is always extremely helpful and responsive. My 5-year-old's teachers were always helpful and responsive. But my 3-year-olds teachers were not. There are also a few teachers at the school who seem less-thank competent. But these are not the lead teachers in any of the classrooms. Overall, I wish that we would have parent/ teacher conferences during the year.
