The school switched owners recently. The new owner is one of the previous owners daughters.

On the positive side, most of the teachers are very good and love children. The preschool program on up to school age does a great job preparing them with their core essentials.

There is structure and a cirriculum in the 3 yr old to first grade classes. The children do learn alot. PreK teachers are always singing and very patient with the children. 3 yr old teacher (one of them) all you hear is yelling all day. The two's have no structure when it comes to learning. The day is structured by outside time, potty, eating, and nap, but there is not learning structure for them. They mainly run around while the teachers talk to each other or are on the phones.

There was a substantial decrease in children so they had decided to move children around. There was no warning, even to the parents. There were two yr olds in the 3 yr old class and 3 yr olds in prek. They make hasty decisions for the benefit of the school, not for the children or parents.

Parents' Comments

The director normally sends sick children home but she has been concerned about money, so she will sometimes allow them. She brings her sick kids to school and makes the teachers watch them.
They usually have the snacks they have listed on the menu, but the bags are left open and there is a serious roach infestation.

I know from my experience the baby room and the a couple of the 2 yr old rms were cleaned on a regular basis, but none of the other rooms are ever cleaned, nor is the big center or toys outside.

I rate the overall condition of the school poorly because of the roach problem and the teachers were complaining of mold and leaking faucets and one teacher was told by the new owner to have her husband come in and fix it.

The owner also told a teacher not to give another teacher's child medicine that was specifically told to be given.

The owner and Mrs Cantrell lie to new parents touring about fire drills and anything else that the parents want to hear. When working there, we never had one fire drill.
