Parents' Comments
Parent #1
We sent our daughter to a child becomes for 2 years and have nothing but praise for the teachers and the quality of education/social skills she recieved. The facility is the lower level of church (not affiliated with the church however). The kids have a great "running room" for their recess. This is great for rainy seattle. The teachers are superb for both the threes and fours. Every child is challenged and has fun too.

Parent #2
It stinks

Parent #3
safety, courtesy, and an eagerness to engage both the mind and the body are just a few of the strenghts which build the foundation of a Child Becomes...

Parent #4
The teachers at A Child Becomes truly care about each student individually. Their enthusiasm for teaching and love for each student shines through each and every day. My son loves to go to school each day because of that.

Parent #5
teachers are fantastic, the atmosphere is perfect for a 3-4 year old. Most importantly my son loves going to this school and is learning at the appropriate level.

Parent #6
There is no outdoor playground but they have a large and fun 'running room' with all the playground essentials. They go on lots of fun field trips that I feel makes up for it.

Parent #7
it a a beuatiful plaace - my kids love it there. perfect in every way. teacher Shelley is an amazing person.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
In the 3 yrs class not much focus on Literacy. In the 4 yrs class, a definite focus on phonics.

Parent #2
The school's director is an excellent teacher. She spends a great deal of time directly interacting and teaching while ALSO allowing for unstructured free play and discovery.

Parent #3
Age appropriate. The 3s program is less structured while the PreK has more structure. The PreK program involves more teacher-led circle time where curriculum is taught in a fun and enthusiastic manner.

Director's and Parents' Comments

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
October is too early to assess at this questionare level...so please know I answered on last year's experience. Our daughter loves going to school, it may help that she is already a very confident child but the atmosphere at A Child Becomes is warm, loving, encouraging, low pressure, fun, and creative.

Parent #2
The teachers make themselves readily available to speak to parents on their cell phones whenever that is needed.

OVERALL RATING (4.9) Four And Half Stars
Parents' Opinions
Parents at this school, on average, believe that conflicts between children: are handled extraordinarily well in a way that not only gives me confidence in the safety of my child but also reassures me that my child (and his/her peers) are learning the early skills needed to socialize effectively with one another

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
Last year their were some boys that scared our daughter during recess....the teacher called me that day, told me how it was handled and kept me in the loop. This year, teacher (different from last year) complimented us on how our daughter stood up for herself when some boys got rough with her during recess. Great communication among the teachers/parents.

Parent #2

Parent #3
There is no out door playground, but the indoor playground has very fun and relatively new equipment.
