Director's Comments
Question to director: Do you have any additional thoughts on what parents should consider when looking at your school? Is there any advice that you would like to provide to prospective parents?
Our director and staff are thoroughly experienced and qualified to guide your child with understanding and patience. They attend in-service training workshops and participate in their own regular staff meetings. Basic pre-requisites for hiring, aside from professional education and experience, are that the teachers must be professing Christians and have a genuine love and concern for young children. The majority of our teachers have Bachelor Degrees and all exceed the minimum number of units in early childhood education required by the State of California.

Description of how teachers work with children who are
"behind," "excelling" or "different" from the majority of students
Love, patience and respect for one another is at the heart of Mt. Olive Preschool's program. The early childhood personnel guide the children in working together and modeling to the children. The staff actively listen to the children. Each child is viewed as an individual and their skills are assessed individually and encouraged to grow at their level.

Director's and Parents' Comments
Director's Comments
Individual conferences are held with each family, including the child that will be attending prior to the school year starting. Each child gets to spend time with their teacher, become acquainted with their classroom, cubby, restrooms and playground. Low key activities are planned at the beginning of the school year so that all staff can spend additional time nurturing and interacting with the children.
