Parents' Comments
Parent #1
This school is very comfortable. They are supportive, loving and very encouraging towards the children, and maintain a Christian atmosphere. They focus on learning through play and on teaching the children to THINK. The parents are not very close - there are not any parent-oriented activities ie an open house, etc. The director is excellent at advising parents of any issues the child may be having, and is intent on working with the parents toward resolution.
School Philosophy & Day in the Life
School Philosophy and Mission
Calvin Christian Preschool takes advantage of every opportunity within the classroom routines for communicating God’s love to the children and to integrate Christian principles throughout the day and across the curriculum.
Calvin Christian Preschool gives children a wonderful opportunity to achieve skills when they are developmentally ready. It is a nurturing environment rich with experiences where children are motivated to learn. Children learn by doing; I hear and I forget: I see and I remember: I do and I understand!

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
In the Pre-K classrooms, all students are evaluated in the Fall and again in the Spring for kindergarten readiness. The full report is provided to the parents.
Parent #2
There are 4 teachers, a director and an assistant director. They are all equally great with the children as well as knowledgeable about each and every child. They all spend time in the classrooms daily and work collaboratively. They are a true team! It is such an incredible place filled with positivity! The teachers each have their special talents. The director plays the guitar and sings regularly with the children. The teachers work together to plan all of their lessons, including music and theater. The teachers are always making up new puppet shows to perform for the students. They are amazing teachers who each hold at least a BA and 3 of the 4 classroom teachers also hold an elementary teaching credential as well.
