School Philosophy & Day in the Life

School Philosophy and Mission

Sunshine Child Care & Learning Centerâ??s, Inc. is a privately owned and operated organization that exists to service families with â??Excellenceâ?? in child care. We are an organization that operates on the belief and application of Judeo Christian principles and ethics that are found in the Bible and in the traditional and conservative values of our country. Our philosophy and emphasis is honoring God, our country, cultivating the importance of family and in teaching moral character to our children. We do not subscribe to any particular denomination or church affiliation.

We focus on achieving quality, providing balanced programs, and strive to provide an environment where academic excellence, socialization and character training produce an educated, responsible and respectful child. While recognizing that the parents should be the central and primary influences on their children, it is our goal to establish a cooperative team relationship with each of our families and to be more than â??just a schoolâ?? for the families we serve. We strive to provide a safe, loving, consistent, secure, moral, exciting and â??specialâ?? place that each child looks forward to coming to each and every day.

Finally, we desire to complement the parental training that occurs in the homes of our families and provide a program that supports our parentâ??s efforts to train the hearts and minds of the future generation.

Director's Comments

There are several essential qualities that make Sunshine special, we call them the â??Sunshine Wayâ?¦â?? We Provide... Quality Care and Quality People Not... Simply Baby-Sitting We Provide... A Positive, Loving, Controlled Environment, Where Kids Beg to Come Back Not... An Atmosphere of Negativity Where "Don't" and "Stop" are Prevalent Words We Provide... Peace of Mind for Parents. A Clean, Enthusiastic Environment Managed by Competent Trustworthy People Not... Feelings of Uneasiness and Anxiety When Parents Drop Off We Provide... A Higher Standard for Our Kids and Our Programs Where the Importance of Moral Character is Upheld Not... A Program of Chaos in Which Parents Feel the Work They are Doing in their Homes will be Torn Down

Quality of Teaching

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching

Individualized Teaching

Description of how teachers work with children who are
"behind," "excelling" or "different" from the majority of students

-To provide a learning environment that meets the developmental and emotional needs of children.

-To develop a childâ??s character and self-worth by teaching him/her to place proper value on others and self.

-To positively reinforce traditional family values such as honesty, respect and love.

-To employ people who uphold Sunshineâ??s high standards of quality and excellence.

-To give parents peace of mind because they know that their child is being cared for in a safe and loving environment.
