Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Au Ptit Monde has built a trusting caring environment for children. A very supportive community.
Parent #2
This is an excellent school with a caring staff. The director is wonderful with the children and treats them as if they were her own. Her approach to learning is both educational and fun. My son enjoys going and always has a lot to say about what he did in school.
Parent #3
APM is a wonderful French immersion program - the kids learn so much, but don't even realize it since they're having so much fun! The school is play-based and encourages creativity and learning through art projects, dance class, circle-time, and much more. The teachers are fantastic - very patient and loving toward the kids. There are also fun opportunities for the parents to get to know each other and it has become quite a network with the parent community. We feel so privileged to be able to send our kids to APM!
Parent #4
The teachers are very friendly and loving, and my child has always been happy and content at pick-up time. The activities seem very creative and age appropriate, with care given to each child's level of development. The kids get lots ot outdoors time and also have the choice of whether to play indoors or outdoors. The food is home-cooked, of good variety and an emphasis on fruits & veggies. It always smells like something good is cooking when we arrive.
We've never had any issues with other children or with our child in terms of behavior. Our child is as good in French as in English (we speak both languages at home). We've been very happy with our experience here.
Parent #5
This day care is actually really like a school.
The children are really well taken care of and they learn so much every day. My son loves going to day care and i would recommend "Au p'tit monde" to anyone who wants the best for their children.
School Philosophy & Day in the Life
School Philosophy and Mission
AU P’TIT MONDE provides a stimulating and fun French immersion education where children are able to understand and experience many different cultures. .
The children at APM come from many different cultures and backgrounds. Through stories, songs and games children learn to understand and express themselves in French. More than half of our children come from families where little or no French is spoken.
Typical Day-In-The-Life At This School
Children’s activities change every thirty minutes. This variety keeps the children active and motivated throughout the whole day. A typical daily schedule would include art, dance, math, flashcards, lesson sheets and music.

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Since our child is just turned 2, we haven't gotten that into formal curriculum.
Parent #2
We are not a French speaking household and my child is reluctant to share his day with us. We love the daily updates the teachers give...we might not know how well his new language is developing without them.

Director's and Parents' Comments
Director's Comments
We give lots of encouragement to the parents & we call the parents once the child has calmed down. We offer to hold the child for comfort. We talk to the child and reassure him/her that mommy/daddy will be back.

I am very impressed with the way discipline is handled at APM. In fact, I just commented yesterday to one of the teachers (after I observed her discipline another child) that I could learn a thing or two from her! She got down at the child's level and calmly told him that behavior was not acceptable and the consequences if he did it again (time-out), which he didn't. She did it so effectively - firm, but not intimidating. Just like what Super-Nanny teaches on TV! :-)
Parent #3
The facility is run professionally and is very clean.
Parent #4
This is a school for young children, therefore the equipment and toys show wear and tear, but are in overall good condition.
