Home School Connection

Director's Comments

We provide a daily activites calendar, including weekly themes in the school entry. Parent-teacher meetings and three-way (parent, teacher, child) conferences are held twice a year. A parent lending library is available to parents who wish to read up on child development. Each theme is accompanied by an idea list for parents to do at home with their child. Our website has a parents-only forum to keep abreast of school events and happenings, as well as a password-protected forum for private and direct parent-school communication.

Separation

Beginning of the year separation is handled through:
- Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
- Small group sessions
- Parents in classroom early on

Discipline, Health and Safety

Food Allergies

- We do not allow certain foods in the classroom

- We keep special snacks for allergic children

- We ask parents to provide child-safe snacks for their allergic child

Medications

- Signed doctor's note must accompany all medicines, as well as medication release form.
