School Philosophy and Mission

Baylor School for Children was designed to provide a safe and loving environmentfor young children and to recognize the importanceof each child's family. The program nurtures each child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth and works with parents to establish strong bonds of personal respect and positive suport for each other. Baylor School for Children's goal is to be available and responsive to the children and parents, and all policies, procedures and decisions are based on the best interest of the children in the program.



Typical Day-In-The-Life At This School

Students may begin arriving at 6:00 a.m. and play until 7:45, when children move outside for outdoor playtime. Breakfast is at 8:15. Music is at 8:45. Pledge and Roll Call is at 9:05. Center Time is from 9:15-10:00. Circle and small group time is from 10:00 until 10:45. Outside playtime is at 10:45. 11:30 is preparing for and eating lunch. 12:30 is naptime until 2:30. Snack is at 2:45. Center time is from 3:00 to 4:00. Outdoor play is from 4:00 to 5:00. Snack at 5:00.

We LOVE Baylor School for Children. The teachers are very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and compassionate. The school has a great curriculum for each class, engages in educational field trips, and provides a safe, friendly learning environment. The only caveat: a child's parent must be a Baylor employee to attend.

Our school is part of the daycare, so there are no big changes to my children's schedule.

Notes

Infants and toddlers' price includes diapers, and Baylor will provide a monthly tuition subsidy of $27 for parents of infants and toddlers. For 2 year olds, Baylor will provide its employees a montly tuition subsidy of $26. For age 3 through age 5, Baylor provides a monthly tuition subsidy of $25. There is no subsidy for kindergarten children.

There is a wait list for upcoming school year. • The Baylor employee must fill out an application card. All cards are filed according to child's age and the date application is received. The only children given priority are siblings of children currently enrolled in the program.

Parent visits tours are: Mandatory (in order to receive application)

Admissions Process

Acceptance criteria: Siblings of children currently enrolled in program are given priority  

Notification occurs: Immediately;when opening occurs

Parents must submit deposit within the following timeframe of receiving notification of acceptance: 1 week
