Parents' Comments

Teacher interaction and classroom lessen plans are excellent. The new administration is doing a great job. The room size and decorum are good but can improve.
Parent #2
Ownership has increased fees tremendously over the past year. The center has a ridiculous 9 hour max and a hefty fee if you go over that time. I think they know that a person who works a full time job can't possibly drop off and pick up their kids within that time so they can make more money. This new ownership also has experienced a large turnover with staff. There have been some days recently when I didn't know the staff when I dropped off my kids. There is no introduction when new staff arrives and no notice when staff quit - which has been happening alot lately. Needless to say I am not happy with this place and am getting my children on waiting lists elsewhere.

Before I would have rated this school with a 5 star, however, it not too long ago was bought by a new company (used to be subsidized by Jeanes Hospital). I think that now they are experiencing some minor pangs from this change, however, I am fully confident in the care my children are receiving. I would not send them to any of the other schools I toured in the area. This is where I felt the most at home. Both of my children have been coming to this center since they were young infants.

There are several teachers in the room, and they each have different strengths that they bring to the classroom, some are more nurturing/comforting, others are more fun, others are more tradtional, etc - overall they children get a well-rounded experience.

This is a daycare (year round) and a preschool and we take advantage of both services, some of the questions are not quite applicable, but I've answered to the best I could to provide a true reflection of the school(if a NA response was not available).
Parent #2
When you first enter the program you are briefly told what to do but it is more of a free for all. No real structure. At least if you bring your child and he or she is crying most of the teachers will take him or her off your hands. There are some you have to aske for help or they won't.

Parents' Notes on Discipline, Health and Safety
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
I think that overall the center is great, and that while it could use some updating, it has a homey feel (even though it is more of a school house). Also, I think that administratively, the center needs to become more up to date on advanced technologies as they charge the premium rates (and do provide superior care)as all of the many of the well-known centers that offer many of these technology amenities.

I applied when I was only about 5 months pregnant (though my children started when they were infants). There is a waiting list to get in.
