Parents' Comments
Parent #1
As stated previously, I highly recommend Crosspoint Christian School. My sons have been there five years (between the two) and we will be going back for two more years when my youngest starts. CCS is a 'Christ centered' preschool and openly makes spiritual guidance a priority. The drop off policy (NOT dropping your child off at a curb, but walking them into the common area for praise and worhip time) is essential in building strong parent to parent relastionships. I can not say enough about our experience. It was superb!

Parent #2
The worship at the beginning of each day is a great thing. It helps the children and parents start the day off right.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
Crosspoint Christian School offers a Music and Movement curriculum as well as Spanish. From my understanding, these are predominately 'teacher led' but allows children room to express themselves. Also, my son's teachers have 'stations' or 'centers' where the kids had 'hands on' experience in what they were learning.

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
This school has a great spanish program to introduce children to the spanish language. We were also very impressed with the art and music programs. My child also attended the 'science club', which was really great! The kids were alwas supervised well during the activities, such as dissecting a pig heart and exploring space. My son also was in drama, which was so cool for him!

I have often made the following quote: 'My sons preschool teacher at Crosspoint Chrisitan School is hands down one ot the BEST preschool teachers in Katy, TX...no question'. And I stand behind that quote. My seconds son most recent teacher (listed as teacher #1 above) was not as affectionate and had a 'mellowed' personality...but a wonderful teacher just the same. My son learned so much from her and really enjoyed her class.

Parents' Comments

Parent #1
The most important characteristic of Crosspoint Christian School is that they place 'God first' in all things. A unique quality of this school is the 'praise and worship' time the first 15 minutes of school each morning where parents sit with their childrens class on big blankets in the common area and sing fun praise and worship songs. They also recognize any birthdays, have a very short devotional and say a prayer. What better way to start your day? It's a superb school! I've been there five years between two children and HIGHLY recommend this school.

Parents play an active role at CCS. (As much or as little as they choose) We have a PAL (Parents Assistance League) committee. The children do NOT fundraise. But there was a silent auction at our Spring Fling this year (participation was optional).

Parent #2
Nothing

Parent #3
Crosspoint Community School has PAL (Parents Assistance League) that hosts function throughout the year. The largest is 'Spring Fling' that is free to the public and is a 'carnival'. A great family event. Also, PAL supports the teachers by hosting a 'Teacher Apprication' lunch at the end of the year and does special things for the teachers each month. It is completely voluntary. Play groups are encouraged, but on a room-by-room basis. Field trips are school sponsored and families are always welcome to attend. Also, the school sponsors 'movie night' outside of school time a few times a year where a movie is shown at the church and kids are encouraged to bring blankets and beanbags to sit and relax with their friends. Popcorn and pizza is provided.
