Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Great school with terrific hands on teachers and staff. They are involved with every child and encourage them to learn in a fun, nurturing environment.
Parent #2
this preschool is for those who truly believe in developmental education. the children learn organically, not through rigid do-as-I-say routines.
Parent #3
Just like a pre-schooler, this school has all the potential in the world.
Parent #4
This preschool is very unique by the way the teachers help the children to join the group without loosing their personality.
Parent #5
Ecole Claire Fontaine is a unique and special place. It is not right for everyone. People who are looking for a structured curriculum for pre-school will not be satisfied. People who are looking for an amazing community of people and brilliant children and teachers who are full of love will want to go to Claire Fontaine. Love is first here.

Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
The school has visiting specialists several days a week including a piano teacher, language arts teacher, dance teacher, and a parent who comes and bakes every Friday. At the larger campus there is also a guitar teacher and yoga. The language arts teacher has become a huge part of my daughter's life and development. We even see her outside of school. I feel in general that all the teachers truly love and care about my child.
Parent #2
I mainly see the teachers when the children are playing outdoor. But if we consider the garden as an outdoor classroom, I would say the teachers pay attention and try to revolve disputes quickly, calmly and fairly in a manner that allows children to learn from the dispute.

Director's and Parents' Comments
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
Ecole Clairefontaine is very free-form and casual with the emphasis being on providing a nurturing and creative environment. There are no rigid rules (except that which is required by the city code) and the Director is very perceptive in terms of the individual children's needs and talents.
Parent #2
The Director of the school is so totally involved with every parent and child. There is less need for the formal meetings and procedures suggested here. This school is very homey in it's daily life but works within a very sophisticated philosophy.
Parent #3
Claire Fontaine school is an active, poetical. human little campus with a very dedicated Director and real teachers. It is not an academic school, children learn how to open their mind and enjoy the world.

Parent #1
Offered professional services to the school.
Parent #2
There is no formal admission policy. You go and meet with the Director and discuss if it's a match.
Parent #3
A lot of parents in the school are artists and offer to participate in the school activities or maintenance. The school really wants to be part of Venice--a community.
