General School Mission

MULTIPLE INTELIGENCE
??If a child is not learning the way you are teaching, then you must teach in the way the child learns." (Rita Dunn, - from Anne Bruetsch's Multiple Intelligences Lesson Plan Book)people have eight different types of intelligences:

linguistic,
logical-mathematical,
musical,
body-kinesthetic,
spatial,
interpersonal,
intrapersonal, and
naturalist.(the newest intelligence)
Traditionally education has focused and, indeed, values the first two intelligences: linguistic and logical-mathematical and students who are talented or "intelligence" in other areas may be partially recognized in school but not always in the teacher's grade book. Many educators believe that by applying the multiple intelligences to classroom work and activities, they will encourage a variety of acceptable understandings and that students will be more engaged and more successful.

Our purpose is to provide an optimum environment for young children with emphasis on physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development. Our ultimate goal is to provide a ??home away from home?? for the children in our care. To accomplish this goal ,the places emphasis on periods of instruction in a home-like atmosphere that enables the child to develop an interest and enthusiasm for learning.
Children are expected to come to the center and be themselves and have respect for everyone else around them. We hope you feel free to be part of our center by offering suggestive comments and/or constructive criticisms at any time.
