From the Director:

We educate the whole child, helping them grow in spirit, mind and body. This includes hands-on activities and guided discovery in a positive atmosphere where every child succeeds. Activities are planned which emphasize the process rather than the product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Sonlight has an open door policy and invites parents to visit the classrooms or call at any time. Conferences are held at least once a year however more can be scheduled upon parent request. Each classroom has a parent communication board that tells what activites the children participated in that day. Newsletters are sent home each month.


Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

Director meets with each parent to discuss any separation concerns the parent may have for their child. Teacher spends extra time with any student who is having separation anxiety.
