General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

Theme based approach is woven throughout the environment to support our philosophy that children learn through artistic and creative play. Our experienced staff helps guide children in developing their social and emotional skills. Children are separated into small groups to stimulate cognitive development. Our excellent ratios allow for individual attention to children's interest areas.

Kids Inc community, staff, children and parents work together to provide an environment that supports children in a positive holistic way. A strong bond, mutual respect and relationship help create our viable community. Together we support the physical, social and emotional development of our children, which is the key ingredient for strong educational and social growth. We know that children learn through play. Curriculum, at Kids Inc, is the structure that allows children to learn through their play and as they play they assimilate their daily experiences. The understanding of these experiences is necessary for a strong and healthy physical, emotional and mental development. Kids Inc teachers work closely with families to provide an environment that models families’ lifestyle and strives to be culturally relevant. It is a fun; active, rich and exciting environment where each child’s is seen as an individual and each family needs are is seen as a part of the community.
