The French American School of Puget Sound offers a rigorous bilingual program in French and English starting at age 3. Our seamless blend of the French and American educational philosophies creates a multicultural context for learning that outlasts the four walls of the classroom. The cognitive and cultural benefits of a bilingual education remain with our preschoolers as they progress through the years.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

During the first month of the school year, teachers evaluate each student in order to determine how they can best meet each child's individual educational needs. This applies to students who may need extra linguistic support or remedial help in a certain subject, as well as students who require additional stimulation in order to feel challenged. Each child receives the benefit of individualized instruction from a teacher devoted to creating the most stimulating and nurturing environment possible.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

The French & American curricula are combined to provide the students with the benefits of both educational systems. Academic excellence is achieved by the synergy derived from both programs. The curriculum is taught in a way that makes the learning process exciting and challenging and meets the high academic standards of both systems while emphasizing an individual approach to education.

A Typical Day

Our internationally recognized program prepares children for a lifelong love of learning. In preschool, children learn through a wide variety of well-planned activities whose objectives are to help them develop motor, artistic, social and linguistic skills, as well as to develop the independence to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. Our elementary program provides an academically rigorous foundation for students to succeed in secondary education.
