The other enrichment class that we will be offering is a hands on Science class, where children will explore the world of science through simple fun experiments they can do themselves.

From the Director:

Learning is fun! Children need to experience this at the earliest levels of their education. It is our desire to create an environment that fosters curiosity and a true love of learning.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

The teachers at Camano Lutheran Preschool are committed to the success of each child. They work hard to make sure every child is both challenged and successful. Our small class size gives the teachers the opportunity to work individually with those who need a little extra help while still being able to challenge those who have advanced at a quicker pace.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Camano Lutheran Preschool works hard to involve our parents in the activities and goings on at the school. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classrooms as well as create play groups outside the preschool to further develop and enrich the children’s experience. We have monthly activities for the families to attend including movie nights, game nights and other fun activities. Communication with the families is constant through email, news letters from the preschool director and the teachers as well as flyers announcing upcoming events.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

No parent wants to see their child distraught and crying. It tears at our hearts and makes it difficult for us to relax while we are separated. At Camano Lutheran Preschool we are devoted to helping our children and parents have a tear free separation. Our teachers are experts at redirecting children who are having a difficult time saying good-by.
