Mission and Objectives

Community Kids Christian Preschool (CKCP) is a ministry of Community Lutheran Church. We provide a Christian setting in which a child can develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. We seek:

 To encourage the development of each child’s self-esteem, independence, self-help skills, cooperative play, self-expression, and concern for others.  To develop each child’s skills in problem solving, critical thinking, listening, verbal expression, imaginative play, early literacy, and social interaction.  To share the message of God’s love through Jesus.

Our Program

Community Kids Christian Preschool (CKCP) provides opportunities in which each child can form the foundation for a positive self-image, develop healthy relationships with others, and experience the joy of learning. Concepts about God’s message and love are an integral part of our day. Our curriculum is thematic and based on the knowledge that children learn by doing. Teachers act as facilitators, preparing an environment that provides stimulation and challenging activities for the development of young children. Participation in learning centers, small groups, individual instruction, chapel time, outdoor play, and music ensure that the child will be engaged in a variety of learning opportunities. As the child progresses through the preschool program, parents and teachers will work together to support each child’s development in the following areas:

 Spiritual Nurturing  Language Development  Math Skills  Self Help Skills  Social Skills  Fine Motor Skills  Gross Motor Skills
