Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

I feel that children learn best when the environment gives them opportunities to facilitate their own learning. It is also important for teachers to teach specific skills.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

I am able to adapt the curriculum for each individual child to meet them at their academic level. I work one on one or in small groups.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Sunny Dey preschool holds a Open House at the end of August so the students can meet me and see the classroom. I maintain a website so that the parents can keep up with daily events and upcoming themes and activities. I send out a weekly newsletter to let the parents know our weekly activities.
Each child recieves 2 progress reports each school year. I am also open to parent-teacher conferences.
