"The purpose of education at Heritage Christian Academy is to produce learners who are committed to God with whole hearts, transformed minds, and righteous behavior. Christian education serves to train the whole child – academically, physically, and most importantly spiritually – with the skills and knowledge to develop into happy and healthy adults, complete in the purpose that God has for each of their lives. HCA’s motto: Sowing Christian Heritage in the Leaders of Tomorrow sums up the focus the school maintains of guiding Christians in an active pursuit of knowledge in an atmosphere where young people can experience regeneration and spiritual growth in order to better serve God. Students are challenged to learn, respond, live out, and impact others with the knowledge and truth of God.
The program, as a result, focuses on a curriculum where the Biblical worldview is woven throughout in order that the “whole” person be developed. Teachers at HCA feel called to the ministry of teaching, shepherding, educating and nurturing. With the help of the Holy Spirit in their lives, these teachers have the incredible freedom and responsibility to teach the truth to their students as the hearts and minds of the future generation are shaped in the classrooms. HCA believes strongly that by providing a Biblically based education, students are enabled as His image bearers to follow the leading of God in their lives and ultimately walking in obedience to God.
Choosing a Christian school education is one of the most important spiritual and academic investment decisions that parents can make on behalf of their children. HCA recognizes the responsibility God has placed on parents to advocate for their children and to raise them in the admonition of the Lord. HCA exists to serve the family and seeks to partner with the home and the church. It is only as we stand in unity that we are truly able to ensure “that the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, that they may arise and tell them to their children, that they should put their confidence in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep His commandments.” (Psalm 78:6-7, NASB)
