Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

We believe that children learn best through play. Our center activities sometimes allow free play and are sometimes directed to a particular area of our curriculum.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Our teachers see each child as an individual and try to meet their needs on an individual basis.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We believe that each child should be taught to know and love Jesus as his/her friend and Savior. They are encouraged to grow spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. Our faith based curriculum integrates language, math, social studies, science and basic life skills into their daily routine.

A Typical Day

The children open their day with prayer, talk about the calendar and weather, say the pledge to the flag. They spend time playing in Centers, hearing Bible Stories, singing songs, doing art, playing outside. They receive a hot lunch and two snacks each day and a short afternoon nap for the children under 6 years old. The afternoon provides more of the morning activities.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We offer Parent/Teacher conferences twice a year and provide the opportunity for parents to meet the teacher and find out what their child will be learning and doing at the start of each school year. Teachers and parents communicate daily.

Handling Separation: From the Director

We step in to comfort a child who is going through seperation anxiety. We also remain in contact with the parent to let them know that their child is doing well.
