Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

From the Director:

Each week our students are taught a letter of the week, sound, number, color, shape, theme, bible verse, and bible lesson. The week consists of the same theme though the curriculum lesson of the day will change. Due to our unique enrollment options though we are a 3 days a week program you may enroll your student for only 1 or 2 days that will meet your budget. Because of this your child will be taught the lesson of the week in a unique and creative way every day.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Our state licensed preschool is unique because we keep our class sizes small! We have a maximum of 10 children per class. Your child will benefit from a low student-teacher ratio. This allows our teachers to give your child the special attention they need and provide the best possible learning experience and care.
Our teaching staff at Ridgeview Preschool consists of experienced early childhood teachers and teachers' assistants. All of our staff members receive ongoing training in child development and are CPR certified. Our school is licensed by the State of Texas.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Jesus said, You are the light of the world (Matt. 5:14). It is our mission to teach children to be God's light in this world. Our philosophy of education is to provide a Christian environment in which each child is encouraged and nurtured to grow spiritually, socially, physically and academically.
Ridgeview Preschool is a ministry of Ridgeview Church, a non-denominational, Bible-centered church in north Rockwall, Texas.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We offer daily communication between our teachers and parents through a daily folder and email. Weekly preschool news is sent through email along with a monthly calendar and weekly classroom news in the students folder. The daily calendar is also used for discipline communication between the teacher and parent. The students calendar is stamped daily by the teacher and signed by the parent. If the parent needs to be notified for any reason a note is sent home with the child and is placed in the students folder.
