Other subjects taught Spanish Spanish is the second most-used language in the United States, and it's very common around Plano, Texas. Our preschool academy is fortunate to have several teachers on staff that are fluent in spanish. This program offers the children the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the spanish language through conversation, song, and visuals. Little Chefs On Mondays students, beginning with those enrolled in our 3 year old programs and older have the opportunity to learn how to cook. The class includes lessons on healthy nutrition, weighing, measuring, chemical reactions, food prep techniques, as well as, exposure to many different kinds of foods. This course was custom designed by CBCA and a Registered Dietitian. It is age appropriate in all aspects for young children. Students will help prepare ingredients, measure, mix, and assemble different recipes. All students will receive a copy of each new recipe to take home and try with their families. Physical Education All children need exercise, and we help to make it fun with our physical education classes. We'll cover gross motor skills such as: • Running • Skipping • Jumping • Throwing etc Students will also learn how important it is to exercise regularly. We teach them this through play, games and other activities that incorporate musical movement, finger play etc. This class is designed to provide the necessary skills and love of keeping their precious little bodies fit and healthy. Music Everyone knows that children learn very quickly through music, and because of this we integrate music into all of the elements of our curriculum. A daily class devoted just to music and musical movement and activities is also a part of each student’s experience. We offer Christmas and Spring musical programs which allow our students to showcase for their parents and guests the skills they have acquired and talents they have developed. Each week we gather for chapel where we worship the Lord corporately with praise and worship. Chapel includes a Bible lesson, prayer and a monthly celebration of student and staff birthdays. Family and other important members of our student’s lives are always welcome to join us as we teach that praising the Lord is a joyous occasion.

From the Director:

Early Childhood Development Our program teaches students age appropriate social, emotional, and cognitive skills. As a Christ centered school, children will have daily bible stories, scripture and prayer incorporated into their day. Your children will learn to recognize shapes, numbers, and letters.
