Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Kids R Kids teaches children as a group but allows for individual instruction per each child's needs. Once lessons are taught, reinforcement and extra time is given during center times and independent learning times. Assessments are given weekly to the students, as well as utilizing parent teacher conferences twice a year and more often if necessary. Kids R Kids fully believes in "No Child Left Behind" and will work with all children to acheive their potential.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

We understand that for many busy and working parents it is challenging to find an enriching atmosphere for your child.
We are proud to believe in the philosophy of "Hug First, Then Teach" which allows your child to mature in an environment where they are comfortable and happy. Come and see for yourself what makes our program so unique!

A Typical Day

Your child will participate in many enriching and educational activities during the day including 3 daily circle times, lots of art and music activities, as well as center time to explore independently. We also have a computer lab and activity room that your child will have access to. Visit our website to learn more!

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

Kids R Kids offers online viewing of the children during the day so that working parents can still be a part of their child's learning process.

We also have many internal communication pieces that we use on an ongoing basis including daily sheets, weekly and monthly newsletters, and emails to families. Administrators are always available to the families at drop off and pickup, as well as telephones placed in the classrooms to allow parents to speak to their children's teachers directly.

We host family events throughout the year, including fall and spring festivals, parents night outs, and weekend trips to sporting events and family venues.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

  • Hold social events at the school to build community
  • Fundraise
  • Are able to visit the school anytime we want
  • Go on field trips
  • Receive newsletters

  • Extra staff dedicated to handle separation

Handling Separation: From the Director

Our teachers and staff are trained to be as loving and understanding as possible during the separation process. They will greet you and your child at drop off and make your child feel welcome to allow you a smooth transition out of the classroom. They are also available during the day via phone to let you know how your child is doing or give you a quick update. Our webviewing is also a much used feature during this time to allow our families to see their children in the classroom during the day.
