Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

From the Director:

Many pre-schools focus primarily on repetitive exercises and worksheets and tell parents that their child will be well prepared for kindergarten or first grade. However in these formative years young children learn through exploration, social interactions, observation, play, and discovering both on their own and through teacher lead activities. Enrichment activities including dance/movement, music and Spanish also give children other avenues for self expression. Our developmentally balanced approach combined with what you as parents teach your child forms a foundation for them to become life long learners. A journey filled with questioning instead of answering. Extracted from A Child's Reflection website

Day in the Life

General School Mission

At A Child's Reflection, each child is viewed as a unique person with an individual pattern and timing for growth and development. Our center creates an environment in which children can grow cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially at their own rate. We acknowledge that young children learn by acting upon their environment - exploring, testing observing - and by watching others. We at A Child's Reflection are specialists in early childhood development. We are passionate about working with young children, are responsive to their needs, and encourage them as they become increasingly more self sufficient and independent. We believe in balancing our curriculum with enrichment activities which are aimed at opening your child's artistic and creative awareness and talents. Extracted from A Child's Reflection website
