General Approach to Learning: Play-Based, Teacher-Led

Our curriculum is a balance of social and academic development. It is creative, child-centered, age-appropriate and bible based.

We have group instruction as well as one-on-one teacher time. Our goals is for children to learn from each other. Our teachers also work individually to meet specific goals.

Day in the Life

General School Mission

Our mission is to help mold and direct the children morally in the way they should go (Psalms 127: 3-4); to provide a positive atmosphere and positive experiences for the children to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and socially; and to groom the children for the school classroom.

A Typical Day

Example of a 3 year old room schedule:
9:00-9:15 am- Free play at Centers and Check-in
9:15-9:30 am- Chapel (morning prayer, pledge of allegiance, bible lesson)
9:30-9:45 am - Circle time
9:45-10:00 am- Snack
10:00-10:30 am- Lessons and Centers (ABC's, 123's, basic concepts)
10:30-11:00 am - Outdoor or indoor play
11:00-11:20 am - Music or Spanish
11:20-11:50 am - Theme and concept lesson (I'm special, Five Senses, etc.)
11:50-12:15 - Lunch
12:15-1:15 pm - Nap/rest time
1:15-2:00 pm - Wake-up time/ Center play/ goodbye

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We send home daily communication sheets about each child's day. We also send out a monthly newsletter.

Parents Say They are Encouraged to:

Handling Separation: From the Director

We encourage parents to talk about school and the school day. We ask that parents drop their child off, give them a kiss and a hug, share with them they will see them at 2:00 and exit. We will love them and provide fun activities for their arrival.
