"The Christian tradition is the foundation upon which St. Luke's School and the After School Enrichment Program build their educational philosophy. Academic excellence is a paramount element in "training a child in the way he should go." Additionally, the School recognizes that learning how to learn is as important for today's society as knowing what to learn because growing up in the information age and the complexities of life demand that every person is knowledgeable, productive, self-reliant and responsible for his own actions.
The St. Luke's School's education program is grounded in tradition, yet it remains flexible and adaptive to individual needs. The School helps each student develop the ability to understand, to analyze, to question, to think creatively and critically, and to communicate effectively both orally and through the written word. The curriculum is constantly updated to meet the demands of our changing world and to meet and surpass the standards set by the state's educational entity, the Texas Education Agency.
It is our goal to enhance each student's spiritual and intellectual growth. Inherent in the educational process is the obligation to promote the development of positive attitudes and habits and to build sound, sensitive, and healthy individuals who will be productive citizens in the community.
Through participation in Chapel services and support lessons, the students will gain an understanding of Biblical truths and the role God plays in their daily lives.
Through a Christian environment the School seeks to nurture the individual child in a warm and loving community of security.
Through caring for the whole child, the School prepares the child to see the world as a place of beauty calling for his care and as a place of challenge demanding his best effort.
Through individual attention and small classes, the School aims to inspire in each child a life-long love of learning.
Through encouraging students to serve in their community and by teaching them to respect the dignity of every human being, the School develops the children's Christian ethics.

Students' experiential backgrounds are enhanced by visits from community resources such as the Denison Fire Department, Denison Police Department, Grayson County Health Department, Texas Department of Transportation, Denison Public Library, WHO Program and Sherman Theatricks. Music, Spanish and Physical Education programs round out the curriculum, which addresses the needs of the whole child at St. Luke's Episcopal School.
