General Approach to Learning: Play-Based

From the Director:

"All of our classrooms are open concept and promote choices. Each room is center based and includes a reading center, dramatic play area, manipulative center, art center, block center and computer learning lab. High Reach Learning develops our award-winning curriculum each month. This theme-biased program promotes a strong foundation by preparing the early childhood student for success in kindergarten and beyond. The hands on activities keep children actively involved as they learn to recognize letters, explore beginning sounds, understand number concepts and develop a positive character traits. Day in the Life

General School Mission

"The Peanut Gallery's preschool program is designed for children three to five years of age. This multi-age grouping promotes children to work within their own developmental level. The reasoning behind multi-ages is that each child develops at different rates. This concept allows child to move ahead in areas they have mastered and work more slowly on the areas of development they still need to work on." -- Excerpted from The Peanut Gallery's web page

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

"The Peanut Gallery firmly believes that communication is the 'key' to an early childhood learning program. We take great care in guaranteeing an effective parent/teacher 'partnership'. In addition to direct contact with your classroom teacher and center director we encourage our parents to be informed by providing parent information boards that offer current information about our learning programs such as ZooPhonics, Math Their Way and Early Literacy. Yearly month-to-month matrix schedules monthly calendars and quarterly newsletters are all tools of our parent communication process. Our open door concept allows parents to come at any time into the classroom. Periodically we hold an 'Open House' evening, which provides an excellent opportunity for parents to explore the center and meet all our staff." -- Excerpted from The Peanut Gallery's web site
