Philosophy & Approach

School Philosophy

General Approach to Learning: Montessori

From the Director:

I'd hesitate to say 'play' since we're Montessori. The child is free to choose after receiving the lesson, and the teacher guides them through the curriculum.

Quality of Teaching

Individualized Teaching: From the Director

Montessori and the three year cycle allow for children to work at their own pace. Our small classroom size allows for more individual attention, as well.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Home visits by teachers
  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
  • Small group sessions
  • Abbreviated schedule at start of school year

Handling Separation: From the Director

We have the children come in for only 30 minutes the first day. We host a Back-To-School Picnic to allow parents to meet other parents and set up play dates. We help parents find students to set up play dates with prior to coming to school
