Day in the Life

General School Mission

"Northway Christian Day School provides year-round pre-school programs that help children learn and grow while having fun in a well-supervised Christian atmosphere. These include Mothers' Day Out and Preschool for children ages 3 months to 5 years.

"Northway Christian Day School opened in September of 1960 with the mission to provide loving Christian care and characted development to 4 & 5 year-olds. Our programs and our mission have greatly expanded over the years, but loving care and education in a Christian atmosphere remains our first priority." -- Excerpted from

A Typical Day

"Each school day will include time segments that provide your child with physical activity, arts and crafts, lesson time, music, snacks and story time.

A sample class schedule would be:
9-9:30 Table activity and free play
9:30-10 Lesson time
10-10:30 Outdoor play
10:30-10:45 Snacks
10:45-11:15 Arts and Crafts
11:15-11:30 Music, Gymnastics, or Chapel
11:30-11:50 Story time and lesson review
11:50-12 Classroom cleanup and prepare to leave"
