Day in the Life

General School Mission

We aim to provide a safe, loving environment full of opportunities for children to learn and explore. We also hope to build the social skills of every child so that they will succeed at school and in life.

A Typical Day

Class begins with group time for numbers, calendar, letters, etc. Will do an activity to go along with this as well as a craft. Morning recess outside. Another instructional time and centers. Lunch and play time. Afternoon reading and word or letter wall time. Pick-up time.

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We keep open lines of communication with all parents. We try to give them an update on their child every day, either through a note or verbally at pick-up. We never conference in front of a child and our director (Dr. Gloria Berry) has a close relationship with every child and parent and is always in communication with them. We also provide any information for services that may be necessary to help the development of a child.

Separation is Handled through:

  • Pre-entry meetings with parents at school

Handling Separation: From the Director

Through lots of fun and engaging activities. Setting a routine early so that the child becomes comfortable and knows what to expect each day.
