General School Mission

Our philosophy is to provide a loving, happy and rewarding preschool for your child. It is our goal to provide developmentally appropriate activities to enhance our children's physical, mental, social, emotional and moral growth. OHUMC provides a Christian enviroment of belonging, emphasizing self-worth. We provide opportunities for developing self-expression, communication, problem solving and participation in group experiences.

A Typical Day

Free play at any center (keeping things in the center in the center), clean up, then circle time (jobs are for the day, curriculm for day, story, singing, roll-call,); Chapel or music; snack; potty break; outdoor playground; circle time (curriculum); then assigned centers and rotates; lunch; circle time

Home-School Connection

Home-School Connection: From the Director

We have one teacher/parent conference a year and parents are welcome to set up a conference at any time during the year. Teacher also send home a newsletter each month describing what the children will be learning and advising of any special outings or events.Teachers do a skills assessment of development twice a year.
