"Our philosophy of early childhood education and classroom curriculum is based on the following resources:
· Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs (published by NAEYC, Washington, DC). This professional organization has developed the most widely accepted standards for child care program quality in the early childhood field. These standards incorporate solid, research-based practices and guidelines for each age group.
· The Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers and The Creative Curriculum for Early Childhood (published by Teachings Strategies, Inc.) serves as the core curriculum in each CCSA child care center. This nationally recognized, award-winning curriculum and training materials incorporates the research of renowned developmental theorists such as Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson in a practical tool for teachers in early childhood programs.
The Children's Center provides curriculum resources and materials as well as training for each caregiver/teacher. In addition, each parent receives a Parent's Guide to Infant/Toddler Programs or Parent's Guide to Preschool Programs upon enrolling their child.
