"1) to provide a quality Montessori preschool and kindergarten experience which fosters the development of the whole child. We view children as individuals whose physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs are of primary importance; and
2) to help parents understand preschool development in order to recognize and respond appropriately to the needs of their own children.
We believe that:
Parents are the child's first teachers and are valued, as such, at the Children's House. Parent involvement in our classrooms and on our campus is welcomed.
Respect for each person, for all life and for the environment should be at the center of education. The core of the Children's House program is mutual respect.
Respect for each child's uniqueness leads to trust and trust is essential for learning and growth.
Children who experience diversity when they are young, grow to accept and cherish differences in others and in themselves.
Young children learn best by being actively involved in their learning environment.
Children need to have freedom to make choices and they need to learn that all choices have consequences"
