Philosophy & Approach

Day in the Life

General School Mission

"The following factors have been kept in mind in the planning and implementation of the program.

U A flexible and balanced schedule of activities, geared to the specific age group: Circle-time, story-time, art, music, indoor and outdoor play and pre-kindergarten skills are all incorporated into the program.

U Unbroken periods of free play: This is essential for observation, investigation and discovery on the part of the child.

U The establishment of routines: This helps foster a feeling of security within the child, as well as helping the teacher to maintain order in the group.

U The needs of individual children: The needs of each child, apart from the group, are acknowledged and respected.

U Communication with parents: Responsiveness to the needs of parents regarding their children and open communication between parents and staff are essential to the program.

U Children's faith will be developed as they learn about our triune God: how He cares for and love's families and all people, how Jesus is
God's Son and died for the sins of the world, and how the Holy Spirit gives us faith.
