"Our educational program is informal and flexible. Play is the heart of the preschool curriculum. Your child is naturally creative and will have an opportunity to satisfy this characteristic through art, music, and play. Large muscles are developed through activities such as running, skipping, jumping, and creative movements. Fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination are promoted through finger plays, puzzles, manipulative toys and art activities. Sensory discrimination experiences are provided by comparisons of likenesses and difference, colors, shapes, and sizes. Language development, number concepts, reading readiness, and Christian concepts will also be explored. The child's Christian development will be enhanced by simple prayers, songs, Bible stories, and art projects which familiarize him/her with basic Christian concepts. Once a month we have a special Chapel Time given by one of the local Missouri Synod Lutheran pastors. Field trips are taken, and different community helpers come for visits periodically. The children cook their own snacks one or two times a month. There are also special events during the year such as the Christmas service and Graduation ceremony.
